Newcastle united begin there defence of the carabao Cup tonight and welcoming Bradford City to St James Park.

Eddie Howe has always expressed the importance of this cup, and the noise coming out of Newcastle is tonight is no different. Howe is set to field a strong 11 even with a hand full of changes, this squad of players is most certainly stronger than this time last year with additions in the way of Thiaw, Wissa (although injured) Woltemade, Ramsey and Elanga.

I am very optimistic about this season even after a slow start Howe will get this group of players to click. Lets see if we can find our scoring touch tonight and build confidence.
