Newcastle United have received a timely boost ahead of their Champions League clash with Athletic Club on Wednesday, as Lewis Hall returned to full training at Darsley Park.

The 21-year-old left-back was back among the first-team group after a short spell out, giving Eddie Howe a welcome defensive option ahead of a vital European night at St. James’ Park. Hall’s energy and versatility on the left flank could play a key role as Newcastle look to build momentum in the group stage.
However, there was one notable absentee — Bruno Guimarães. The Brazilian midfielder was not involved in today’s session, raising concerns about his fitness and availability for the midweek clash. Howe and his staff have yet to comment on whether his absence was precautionary or due to a minor issue.

Bruno’s influence in midfield has been central to Newcastle’s Champions League campaign, and his potential absence would be a significant setback.
Even so, Hall’s return adds valuable depth to the squad, as the Magpies prepare for a high-intensity encounter under the lights at St. James’ Park.
Kick-off against Athletic Club is set for Wednesday night, with supporters expecting another electric European atmosphere on Tyneside
