Newcastle United have reportedly reached an agreement with Benfica to sign Amar Dedić, with the Magpies agreeing a £29.5 million fee for the 23-year-old right-back.
According to the latest update from Sky Sports News reporter Keith Downie, Newcastle have now struck a deal with the Portuguese club and plans are being made for Dedić to travel to Tyneside on Monday for his medical.
There are still the usual final details to complete before the transfer can be officially announced, but there is said to be real confidence that Dedić will become a Newcastle player.
Dedić Could Be Available for Liverpool Clash
Perhaps the most exciting part of the update for Newcastle supporters is that the club are reportedly hopeful of completing the transfer in time for Dedić to be available for the visit of Liverpool next Sunday.
