Newcastle United powered their way into the quarter-finals with a convincing 2-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur, delivering a dominant performance that showcased their defensive strength and attacking precision.
Despite Spurs having their moments throughout the match, Eddie Howe’s side controlled the tempo and created the better chances. Fabian Schär opened the scoring in the first half with a well-placed header, giving the Magpies a deserved 1-0 lead heading into the break.
In the second half, Nick Woltemade doubled Newcastle’s advantage with another header, sealing a memorable win for the home side. Newcastle’s organization, energy, and clinical finishing proved too much for Tottenham, who struggled to find a breakthrough against a disciplined back line.
The result sees Newcastle United book their place in the quarter-finals, continuing their impressive cup run and giving fans plenty of reasons to be optimistic about the rest of the season.
Howay the lads !!
